SSM Registration

Business

SSM (Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia), the Companies Commission of Malaysia, is the regulator where businesses and companies are registered. Anyone running a business must register it with SSM, whether as a sole proprietorship, partnership, or a company (Sdn Bhd). Registration gives the business legal recognition, and a certificate is needed to open a business bank account and apply for licences. Businesses must renew registrations and file required information such as annual returns to stay active. Operating an unregistered business is an offence. Fees, required documents, and filing obligations are set by SSM and subject to the latest rules.
