What you describing is textbook burnout, and I been there badly in 2021. First, this is real, dont gaslight yourself into thinking you just malas. Steps that helped me: (1) take your annual leave, even a few days, actually rest, no email. (2) Set hard boundaries - stop replying work messages after office hours, the world wont end. (3) Talk to someone - I used the free counselling via my company EAP, or you can try Befrienders (free, confidential). (4) Move your body, even 20 min walk at the park breaks the loop. Dont rush to quit while emotional - fix the boundaries first, then decide with a clear head in 1-2 months. If after real rest you still dread it, then maybe the job/role genuinely not for you and its time to plan an exit. Your mental health lagi penting than any KPI.

Sometimes its not the whole career, just the toxic manager or team. I moved internally to another department, same company, and my mood totally changed. Before you quit entirely, explore a transfer. Cheaper than starting over and you keep your seniority.

The Sunday night anxiety (Sunday scaries) hit me too. What broke it was having a small nice thing to look forward to Monday morning - a good kopi, breakfast at a mamak with a friend before work. Sounds simple but it reframed my Monday. Also cut down the KL commute stress if you can, WFH days changed my life.

Please dont ignore it lah bro. I pushed through for a year and ended up with real health problems - gastric, insomnia, panik. See a doctor if physical symptoms appear, MC for mental health is valid now. Rest is not weakness. Take care ya.
