Got AES speeding saman but I sure I was under limit, how to appeal?

Received a summons for speeding on the Federal Highway via AES camera. But I always cruise control at the limit, quite sure not me speeding or maybe wrong plate. How do I check and appeal, and can I really win?

First, check the saman details online (MyEG, JPJ portal, or PDRM eSaman) - see the date, time, location and the recorded speed. If it is AES, you can request to view the photo evidence at the JPJ/PDRM office. If the plate wrong or it is clearly not your car, you got strong grounds. To appeal: write a formal appeal letter (rayuan) to the issuing authority (JPJ or PDRM depending on saman type), attach evidence (your travel records, toll timestamps, cruise control claim is weak alone though). Go in person to the office is more effective than online. Be polite. I appealed a wrong-location saman and it got cancelled after I showed my Touch n Go log proving I was elsewhere. Timestamp evidence is king.

If the car was sold/transferred or someone else was driving, you can also state that in the appeal. Keep records of who drives your car. My uncle got saman for a car he already sold, the ownership transfer wasnt updated - he appealed with the JPeK/sale docs and cleared it.

Dont just pay to make it go away if you genuinely think its wrong. But also, dont assume cruise control = exact speed, on downhill your car can creep over. Check the recorded speed number first. If it is like 5-10km over and it was you, honestly cheaper and easier to just pay during discount period. Only fight if truly not you.
