Hospital kerajaan waiting so long, worth going private?

What we do in my family, use both smartly. For the FIRST consultation and diagnosis where speed matters (to know what you are dealing with), pay for one private specialist visit, it is a few hundred ringgit for consultation and worth the peace of mind. Once you have the diagnosis and know it is not urgent, you can decide: if it needs expensive ongoing treatment or surgery, government hospital is far cheaper and the specialists there are genuinely excellent (many private docs also serve in govt). The trick is the initial private consult buys you clarity fast, then you transfer or continue in the government system for the costly parts. Also ask the government hospital if there is a cancellation waitlist, sometimes slots open up. And if it is genuinely worrying symptoms, go to emergency, they assess urgency and can fast track. Dont just passively wait 4 months worrying, get one quick private read first.
