What's it really like commuting daily from JB to work in Singapore across the Causeway?

I did the JB-Singapore daily commute for three years, so let me be real with you. The money is genuinely life-changing, SGD3,200 is roughly RM11k which is unheard of for the same role in Malaysia, and I saved aggressively and bought a house in JB cash-ish within a few years. BUT the lifestyle cost is brutal, I woke at 4:30am to beat the Causeway jam, took the bus or motorbike through customs, and reached my Singapore office by 8am, then reverse in the evening reaching home 8-9pm. Weekdays I had zero life, just work-commute-sleep, and the jam is worse during month-end and before public holidays. My honest verdict: do it while you're young and single to build capital fast, but have an exit plan because the grind ages you, and consider a motorbike or the upcoming RTS Link which should make it far easier.
